Debating being a Court Monitor? JUST DO IT!
If being at the center of the action all weekend isn’t enough to get you itching to volunteer to be a Court Monitor, here’s something that might:
A look at our #Hoopfest2019 Nike Swag Bag!

The bag includes shorts, a hat, a Court Monitor Shirt and a pair of shoes!

On top of all this amazing gear, Court Monitors are also provided lunches, beverages and entered into the Court Monitor Sweepstakes raffle for some great prizes; A Samsung 65” Class KU6290 4K UHD TV and JBL Cinema Soundbar, two-night stay at The Davenport Hotel Collection during Hoopfest Weekend, free Uber rides to and from the tournament courtesy of Uber and a Rejuvenating Spa Package from La Rive Spa at Northern Quest Resort and Casino!

“Court Monitors are the most valuable volunteer position,” says Chad Smith, Operations Manager, “each court needs an engaged, dedicated and committed monitor to help enhance the player’s Hoopfest experience.”
“The adrenaline rush is something else,” says 5-year Court Monitor veteran, Vinny Steen, “thousands of people and I have the opportunity to ref 8th and 9th grade boys and girls and I gotta say they play tough.”
Other things to note for Court Monitor Volunteers:
- Court monitoring at Hoopfest is a full weekend commitment.
- You will be invited to a two-hour training seminar to get you ready and prepared for the weekend. Also, don’t forget to check out our Court Monitor Training Video.
- We attempt to honor all court requests. You may choose from youth, high school or adult courts – male, female or co-ed.
- Court Monitors on youth courts (grades 3-9) will call all fouls.
- Players on high school and adult courts will call their own fouls.
A special thanks to BECU for their continued support of this imperative position of Hoopfest weekend.
