We built this city on 3on3 and it is the strength of our community that provides the foundation. Whether you are a player, a volunteer or a fan, Spokane Hoopfest has a place for you to enjoy the energy of over 14,000 games played throughout the weekend. The sights, the sounds, the competition, the laughter, the tears, the reunion of friends and family and the making of new friends and teammates; few things capture the heart of a community and even fewer have become a movement like Spokane Hoopfest.
With the effort and enthusiasm of our staff and thousands of volunteers, Spokane Hoops Association produces year-after-year the world-renowned 3on3 outdoor basketball tournament. Paired with a dynamic downtown festival, Hoopfest Weekend transcends basketball through the celebration of athleticism, fair play and community involvement.
Taking place each summer, during the last weekend of June, Hoopfest has become an iconic event within the city and throughout the world, bringing in over 250,000 people and generating over $46 million of economic impact to the local economy for the weekend event. Whether a basketball player, fan or someone just looking to have fun in the community, Hoopfest offers something for everyone.
Throughout the year, it is Spokane Hoops Association's driving force to better the city of Spokane through its love of basketball. In addition to hosting the tournament each summer, Spokane Hoops Association also runs the Spokane Elite Basketball League, formerly known as Spokane AAU, the region’s premier youth basketball league and the Ignite Basketball Association, a community- and school-based outreach program that offers a safe, constructive alternative for area youth.
Since 1990, Spokane Hoops Association has built over 30 community basketball courts in the region and donated over $1.6 million to local charitable organizations, including Special Olympics, community centers and various youth sports and learning programs.
Spokane Hoopfest Association is a Washington nonprofit corporation and tax exempt organization under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code.
