Eric Fox Memorial Fund

In July 2014, the Fox family suffered a tremendous loss in losing a husband and father, Eric. It is now the family’s desire to set up a fund to benefit the Ignite Basketball Association in Eric’s memory.

Fox was a Gonzaga University alumnus who was a control engineer and co-owner at Applied Solutions in Spokane. He was active in the lives of his boys and coached both youth basketball and baseball. Additionally, Fox refereed high school basketball games in the area for 20 years and was a member of the Washington Officials Association.

He left behind a family, a love for the game of basketball and a legacy of community contribution. Thus, the Fox family has selected to start a new fund, the Eric Fox Memorial Fund, which is to benefit the Ignite Basketball Association, a community- and school-based outreach program of Spokane Hoopfest Association and Spokane AAU Basketball Club that offers a safe, constructive alternative for area youth. Until this point, the league has been unable to fund paychecks for referees who work on behalf of IBA; the Fox fund will make this possible. Any additional monies will also benefit the larger IBA organization.

To donate to the Eric Fox Memorial Fund, please:

  • Make out a check to Spokane Hoopfest Association
  • Send it to:
