Telecom is rapidly-growing technology company that offers high-speed internet, cable TV and phone services to nearly 1,000 communities across the United States. Last year, TDS began building a 1,100 mile fiber-to-the-home network in Spokane. The network, which will launch in phases, began serving Spokane neighborhoods in April and will eventually connect more than 88,000 homes and businesses across the community. According to BroadbandNow.com, only 32 percent of the United States has access to the fiber internet, putting Spokane among a select number of communities with access to what is referred to as “the gold standard of residential internet connections.”
When TDS entered the Spokane market, the company quickly identified several events and organizations that are making a difference in the community and reached out to learn how they could help. One organization that TDS has built a relationship with is Hoopfest. With its focus on promoting physical activity and community engagement, not to mention hosting the largest 3-on-3 basketball tournament in the world, Hoopfest has made a very positive impact in the Spokane area. TDS is excited to sponsor the “Family Fun Zone” at this year’s Hoopfest tournament from September 9-12 in Downtown Spokane. TDS will help provide a fun place for kids of all ages to enjoy while waiting to play their next game or root for their favorite team. While you are enjoying the Family Fun Zone, you can stop by the TDS booth and learn about how TDS is bringing its full-fiber network to your neighborhood.
