Like all of you, we approach each season and each individual game plan with winning in mind. There is no other option. We also know that winning habits happen when no one is watching, so your Hoopfest staff has been hard at work. We have been asking questions, evaluating information, gaining support, working with authorities, and strategizing on the Hoopfest game plan that will give us the greatest chance of winning in 2021. All that work has led us to the decision to make a one year move from the last weekend in June (traditional Hoopfest dates) to September 11th and 12th, 2021. This move provides us the longest timeline to ensure that Hoopfest 2021 will not only be epic but also be safe for us to enjoy (unintended benefit, it also gives us “more mature” hoop heads a little more time to dust of the kicks and loosen up the knees! Quarantine 15, anyone?)
If our tournament is canceled due to COVID-19, we will issue refunds. However, if we are able to play we will revert back to our historical no refund policy.
If our tournament is canceled due to wildfire smoke, no refunds will be issued. We are aware that the date change and current weather conditions increase the risk of wildfires, which could impact air quality at Hoopfest. We will be working with MultiCare and monitoring closely to ensure a safe event. Please continue to check back for updates.
Hoopfest is proud to give a spotlight to athletes who have made an impact on the local community. This year’s poster puts recent Gonzaga University grad and Washington’s own Corey Kispert at the center. Not only was Kispert named First Team All American, WCC Player of the Year, and the Julius Erving Small Forward of the Year, but he also plays an important role in the Spokane and Gonzaga community. To pick up your own poster now, stop by our office in the Paulsen Center (421 W Riverside, Suite 115 Spokane, WA 99201).
The Hoopfest 2021 basketball is made from recycled rubber making every ball unique and one of one. Move to Zero is Nike’s journey toward zero carbon and zero waste to help protect the future of sport. A limited number of basketballs are available to purchase on our website. The remainder will be for sale Hoopfest weekend at The Hoopfest Store Presented by Nike.
Propaganda Creative designed the 2021 poster. Propaganda Creative is a brand strategy agency that specializes in creating effective campaigns through design, brand story, messaging, and website development. Christopher Sean Gray photographed Corey Kispert for the poster.

Then round up either seven or 15 more Hoopfest teams you want to play against and who agree to play against you and we’ll create your own bracket.
