HIGHLIGHTS

In addition to our 10-game season, Spokane Hoopfest Association will feature three additional events that add to the overall experience for each of our athletes. Whether it’s the culmination of six seasons in our program with the 8th Grade Boys and Girls All-Star Games or our free throw and three-point contest for players to show off their clutch shooting skills, Spokane Hoopfest Association offers a season full of games, competitions and festivities.

8th Grade All-Star Game

The 10th Annual Spokane AAU All-Star Game – TBD

Our 8th-grade players will use the regular season to perfect their skills, with a select few having the opportunity to battle it out on the court!

Within Spokane Regional Club Basketball League, every 8th coach nominates two players from their team and two players from the other 8th grade teams who they believed performed exceptionally during the season. The players with the most nominations are chosen, and the teams are formed for what have become some of the biggest games in January each season.

Nominations for the All-Star Game must be remitted no later than Monday, January 6th, 2025 to giff@spokanehoopfest.net.

We want to provide our athletes with another opportunity to play and be celebrated. This is what our All-star game accomplishes for our league.

2025 ALL-STAR GAMES – Rosters will be posted the Monday prior to the games.

Hot Shot Competition

The Hot Shot Competition is a great way for athletes to test their shooting skills against others. We offer both a free throw and a 3-point contest. Each team can qualify one free throw shooter and one 3-point shooter (they cannot be the same athlete). This is FREE for the athletes and gives a chance for every team to be represented in a fun competition. The Free Throw and 3-Point Hot Shot Competitions are always packed with young athletes with the ability to shoot the lights out!

The names of each team’s two representatives must be submitted no later than Monday, January 6th, 2025 to giff@spokanehoopfest.net.

Round 1 & Round 2 – Dates/Times – TBD

Championship Weekend - final four

Championship Weekend will be held on January 25-26, 2025!

Save the dates and help us celebrate our 34th Anniversary and the teams that competed all season for a chance to participate in this exciting weekend.

What fun – to cheer on the teams as they compete for a championship title. These teams have put in countless hours of hard work and practice to prepare for what is set to be the biggest weekend of their season.

Tentatively, on Championship Sunday, the finalists from each grade level that competed in Round 1 of the Hot Shot Competition will have an opportunity to win it all during the half time game of their respective grade. The top four competitors from each grade level – for both the Free-Throw and the 3-point contests, will be shooting in Round 2 and will showcase their skills.

JERSEYS

Each team is responsible for its own uniforms. Uniform types may be either a reversible jersey or two separate jerseys. Regardless of type, there must be one white (home) and one dark colored (away) jersey for each game. Numbers must be on both the front of the jersey (minimum 4” tall) as well as the back of the jersey (minimum 6” tall), and must be centered vertically as well as horizontally. The numerals 6, 7, 8 and 9 are illegal and cannot be used alone or in any combination. The officials must be able to signal the jersey number with one hand.

The following series of numbers can be used:
  •  0-5
  • 10-15
  • 20-25
  • 30-35
  • 40-45
  • 50-55

MANDATORY COACHES MEETING

The entire coaching staff (head coach and maximum of two assistants) for each team will be required to sign-off after attending the meeting. Only the head coach will be able to pick up the team’s packet – picture i.d. will be required.

Meeting date TBD

If the head coach and assistant coaches do not attend one of the scheduled meetings, they will NOT be eligible to coach in the league during the upcoming season.
